Dr. Kalliopi Radoglou, is a full Professor in Forest Ecophysiology, in the Department of Forestry and Management of Natural Resources, Democritus University of Thrace. She Obtained MSc and PhD at Department of Forestry and Natural Environment, Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. She has been Coordinator of LIFE project "Verenike" (LIFE09 NAT GR 000326) and scientific responsible for several research programs (FP4- EU-VIT, FP5-FORSEE FP6 PREFOREST and FP7- FunDivEurope, REGENFOREST) She has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. She was senior researcher at Forest Research Institute NAGREF in Thessaloniki until 2012.

Dr. Ioannis Meliadis is associate researcher at the Forest Research Institute NAGREF, specializing in remote sensing and geographical information systems. He is a graduate of the School of Forestry and Natural Environment of A.U.Th., and the School of Agriculture, and has o PhD of the first.

Dr. Nat. Techn. Gavriil Spyroglou was born at 20/07/1965 in Xanthi. Studied for-estry in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated in 1990. In 2004 got his doctoral degree in individual tree growth modelling from Universität für Bodenkul-tur, Wien - Österreich. Since 1993 works in the laboratory of silviculture and has long experience in the field of stand tending, growth and yield and use of allometry on tree biomass estimation and seed quality assessment.

Dr. Dimitris Zianis obtained his BSc degree in Forestry (TEI Kavalas) and pursued MSc studies in Forest Ecology and Management (University of Aberdeen, UK). His PhD diploma was awarded by the University of Edinburgh and participated in several research projects funded by EU and National bodies. He was a research fellow in the University of Edinburgh, METLA, MAICh, ΑUTH, FRI, ΤΕΙ Kavalas and TEI Larisas. He has published eight scientific papers in international journals. He is also a reviewer in Forest Ecology and Management, Annals of Botany, Silva Fennica, Trees and PLoS for articles related to forest biomass and productivity and on the application of fractal geometry in modeling structure and function of forested ecosystems. At present, he is a civil servant in Naousa Forest Department.
